On 22 November 2022, the archaeological site of Solak-1/Varsak has been listed in the National List of Monuments of the Republic of Armenia and is considered a site of national significance. Solak-1 was discovered in 2013 as part of the joint research activities between IAE NAS RA and ISMEO and the research project connected to its investigation was awarded in 2019 with the Europa Nostra Award/European Heritage Award.
